Ai-Menu can be configured to use ClickSend to send SMS to customers.
Currently, this feature is available on the Ai-Online Client app and works both for Local and Cloud-only systems. Follow the below-listed steps,

  • Create ClickSend account
  • ClickSend – Ai-Menu integration

1. Create ClickSend Account

  • Go to https://dashboard.clicksend.com/signup/step1
  • Alternatively, you can login into your Ai-Manager account, go to
    Restaurant Setup -> SMS Setup.
  • And click on Create New Account
  • This will take you to the sign-up page of ClickSend.
  • Enter the required information.
  • Once done, click on Start Sending!
  • This will take you to the verification screen, where you are obliged to enter the verification code sent to the phone number that you provided on the Signup page.
  • Once done, you are taken to your ClickSend dashboard.
  • Now click on Developers in the left-pane menu.
  • Now click on API Credentials
  • This will open the API settings. Under the Subaccounts tab, you will find the API key
  • Now copy the API key.

2. Integrate Ai-Menu with ClickSend

You will be needing a couple of things to get this done.

  1. ClickSend’s Username
  2. ClickSend’s API key
    • Open Ai-Manager and login into your account.
    • Now go to Restaurant Setup -> SMS Setup
    • Enter your ClickSend’s Username in the SMS Provider Username field.
    • Enter your ClickSend account password or the API key in the
      Password/API key field.
    • Click on the Enable SMS Feature checkbox.
    • Once done click on Update Settings.

Once done, you can open the Ai-Online Client app on your tablet and open the order for which you want to send the SMS, and tap on the Send Customer SMS button. This will send the following message to the customer, “Dear {FirstName}, Your order is ready, please collect it ! Kind regards, {ResName}”.
The cost per SMS is around 6-7 Cents. The money is deducted from your ClickSend account’s balance.

  • Click on the + symbol, next to the Balance to top-up your balance.
  • Firstly, you will have to add your credit card.
  • In the Top-up account page, click on Add a Credit Card.
  • Once you have added your card, go to the Top Up Account tab.
  • Select “Pricing based on sending” as SMS and “to” as Australia.
  • Select the package you want and click on Purchase.

Keep in mind to turn on the phone number for Ai-Dine to send SMS to customers dining in your restaurant. You can do this by logging into your AiManager account and enabling the “Allow phone number for dining” option under the Checkout tab in Online Store Setup.
